Strickley Andre

Charles Andre Harvey “Strickley Andre” born in Baltimore, Maryland December 25, 1967. Educated at Towson State University where he earned a B A Degree in Science & Communication. Andre started singing at an early age and won numerous awards. Through out the 70’s he performed in numerous talent shows. At the start of the 80’s he had more of a desire to become a great entertainer. He joined the New Shiloh Baptist Church and sang on the young adult choir. Before graduating high school, Andre told everyone that he would meet his goals including meeting Ms Patti Labelle. In 1987 Andre met and sang with Ms Patti Labelle during her “On My Own” tour. During that time Andre stared in his own one-man show at The Forum in Baltimore that received rave reviews. While in Baltimore Andre started acting where he performed in 4 plays “The Wiz, A Raisin In The Sun, Man Of La Mancha, and Tom Sawyer. He was elected President of the Baltimore Chapter of the Thespian Society. To this present day still is an Honor Thespian. He recorded his first single “My Friend” produced by Nathaniel Wilkie Crocket, assistant musical director for “Patti” written and arranged by Andre. In 1988 Andre felt the call to move to Hollywood where he set up a meeting with Charlie Minor of A & M Records. The meeting went well but there was no signing of a recording deal. At the conclusion of his meeting with Charlie, he met and befriended Eric D. Robinson who shared the same dream as Andre. Through out the 90s Andre has appeared on several televisions shows including MTV’s Maynard’s Musical Mail Room, The New Original Amateur Hour, Documentary More Life Ahead and most recently Scrubs and the feature film “One My Valentine”. Doing stand up at the Spice Club in Hollywood, to rave reviews. With the 90’s fatly approaching he asked to go to Arkansas to sing for a wedding and to MC as well. From there being the wedding singer from San Diego to Edwards Mansion in San Bernardino. Soloist for New Wine Christian Fellowship Church and praise and worship leader for the church as well. In the mid 90s Andre could be found on the radio 99.1 KGGI “Dr. Feelgood”. Andre’s skills include singing, dancing, comedian, actor, writer, producer, and voice impressionist. Lead singer for the band “The Code Blues”. The Code Blues was asked to perform all over the Inland Empire’s club seen with soled out shows and standing room only venues.

As a skillful entertainer Andre has performed his skills all over the nation. With the new millennium approaching he joined Peace In The Valley Church and began sing on the praise team and singing solos. Six months later became the assistant to the music director. He was asked to sing for the church prison ministry at Chino. New Port yacht club in New Port Beach, California where he did a one man boat show and electrified the audience. 2000 Andre co-founded The Partners Recording Studio and Publishing Corporation and served as Western Regional Director. Traveling across country finding new talent, showcasing new talent and giving vocal lessons as well. This was a great independent recording corporation where Andre had the pleasure of recoding the hit Christmas single “ It’s Christmas Once Again”, that sold over 500 copies locally in the Inland Empire. Written, arranged, co-produced by Strickley Andre and co-written by Susan Harvey. 2004 Andre accepted his call to ministry. Andre is a license minister in good standing in the state of California. Rev. Andre is personal assistant to the Pastor for Empowerment Temple, also writer of the church’s welcome song. God gave Andre a great gift for touching people through entertainment, through preaching, song, acting or any one of the many talents he has. He also became a member of the world renounced “The Hollywood Choir”. The Hollywood Choir has performed all over the world under the leadership of Ms Blinky Williams. Ms Williams can be herd on the soundtrack of Lady Sings The Blues and the movie for the song “Taint Nobody’s Business If I Do” and the theme song for the T.V. show “Good Times”. 2005 The Hollywood Choir was asked to sing behind Miss Aretha Franklin under the direction of H. B. Barnum. At this time Andre is currently recording with The Hollywood Choir as a featured guest. He is founder and creator of the “Legends Of Soul Magazine”, a magazine that is geared for the preservation of the legends passed, present, and future. He is also co-creator of the soon to be released television show “Feel Real Good Records” with Eric D. Robinson. In 2006 God called C. Andre Harvey to Pastor a New Church in San Bernardino, CA Radical Praise Christian Fellowship Church (R.P.C.F.C.). This ground breaking ministry was started in Andre’s living room has grown into a great work for God. The vision that God has given him is unfolding right before his and his members eyes. Now preaching and entertaining all over the world.
